On Thursday 18th of September our 3rd Years went on a History trip to Kilmainham Gaol, where they learnt about the history of the building, as well as its significant role in Irish History, covering topics such as Robert Emmet’s rebellion in 1803, the Famine, Parnell and Home Rule, the 1916 Rising, the War of Independence and the Civil War. A great day was had by all!
