On Friday, 14th October, eight Transition Year Students participated in a Loreto Schools ‘Learn to Row’ event in Island Bridge.
Caitlyn Rogers, Ruth Ecumore, Lauren Foley, Ciara Reynolds, Pentidar Hart, Catriona Comerford, Marika Sadowska and Nadia Hennessy proudly represented their school on the day, benefiting from the expertise on hand to improve their skills.
Rowing is a core part of the Transition Year Programme with every student getting an opportunity to do a module in Rowing during the year. The students involved in last Friday’s event had only set foot in a boat last month when they began their module back in September.
For this reason, we are so very proud of Ciara, Catriona, Lauren and Marika, (pictured below) for rowing their boat to victory and winning the event.
