On Shrove Tuesday, our Home Economics department and our kind-hearted 5th years cooked up the perfect recipe for joy and happiness in Loreto Crumlin.
Ms. Henry and Ms. McDermot brought the flour, eggs, and milk. The students added care, kindness, and culinary skill. In no time at all, the corridors of our school were filled with the aroma of delicious, mouth-watering pancakes.
Very soon, classrooms were visited by smiling hostesses delivering trays with 500 pancakes for students and staff. There were pancakes for all. Everybody was delighted to put down their pens and pencils and pick up a pancake.
The event was hugely successful and everybody appreciated the warm treat they received on a cold, frosty February morning.
