The TAP (Trinity Access Programme) Education Awards took place on Wednesday, 3rd May and yet again Loreto Crumlin was delighted to have worthy students in attendance to pick up awards.
Aaishah Buzakhar of 1 Vivaldi has shown great talent in Art object drawing and is excelling in mathematics. Freya Ragas of 1 Beethoven produced a superb model of a cell in the first year Science cell modelling project.
Second Year winners were Andrea David, Chardonnay Maguire and Laura Rooney-Saunders. Chardonnay was nominated by her Art and English teachers for producing consistent work of a high standard and for always being positive about doing it. Laura showed immense creativity in a sewing project she produced in Home Economics, while Andrea produced a very timely and helpful project on Mental Health and Positivity.
Jamie-Lee Fenton has proven to be on top of all of her Art Project work in this very demanding 3rd year for her. Her “Absurd and Ridiculous” project earned special praise from her teachers and was an excellent example of Jamie-Lee’s great talent.
The Salter Sterling Gold Medal Award is given annually to the Transition Year Student who embodies the spirit of Transition Year and all that it stands for. This year, the very deserving winner is Holly Keating who has met every challenge and opportunity 4th year has offered her with enthusiasm and a spirit of adventure.
