The second years retraced their Neolithic and Celtic past through the wonderful recreations at the National Heritage Park in Co. Wexford on March 19th.
Courtesy of their wonderful tour guides, Karine and Susan, the students along with their History teachers were transported back in time to Wattle and Daub dwellings, the earliest farming implements, Early Christian Ireland monastic life, and ancient burial sites.
The students returned to Dublin rich in knowledge and smelling of smoke fires and fulacht fia boiled bacon. It was a valuable revision exercise of their first-year history course which brought much of what they had only read about in their history books, to life.
