Memories of Loreto Crumlin:
I have fond memories of 4th year when we all pulled together to create our school musical, ‘Annie Get Your Gun’. I also loved going to the art room each week and spending time drawing and chatting to friends. Another memory that stands out is when we took part in a French quiz in 5th year. There were so many other schools there that evening and it was the best fun. I applied for the TAP (Trinity Access Programme) while I was in 4th year and won a scholarship to Viareggio in Italy for two weeks which was an amazing experience, all thanks to Loreto!
My Journey Through Education:
After leaving Loreto I went on to study in NCAD, where I earned my Bachelor Degree in Visual Communication. This was a fantastic experience over four years. In my third year I went on Erasmus to Lahti in Finland where I studied for six months and over that period of time I got the chance to visit some other amazing countries such as Estonia, Russia and Germany. After some years interning in Dublin in places like Hotpress Magazine, I decided I wanted to go back to education and become a primary school teacher. I applied to the Post Graduate Programme in St.Patrick’s College Drumcondra and completed my Diploma in Primary Education in 2014.
My Career Path:
I am now a primary school teacher in Loreto Junior Primary School.
