Memories of Loreto Crumlin:
Performing in the school shows, singing with the choir, being a member of the athletic team and competing in Santry. The black robes the teachers wore and watching as it flowed behind them as the made their way down the corridor. Some of the faculty members that I would still think of would be Sr Rita and Sr Pat (our Principal), Ms Goggins, Mr White and Ms Molloy (for her colourful outfits)
My Journey Through Education:
I have a diploma of Childcare and a Higher Diploma in Childcare specialising in Children with Special needs. I am currently re-enrolled in Carlow Institute of Further education studying Production & Performance Arts.
My Career Path:
After working with children for a long time and being a member of various musical societies I amalgamated the 2 and I am now in my 8th year of running my own stage school ‘Shooting Stars Athy Stage School’ in Athy Co Kildare. We teach the 3 disciplines of Stagecraft – singing, dancing and drama and we have over 135 students aged from 4yrs to 50yrs old.
